My Cats Will Not Stand

Not a duplicate, really. I checked.
So, I was testing out my cat's AI and I made them sit and stand, see what they sit on, and many more things. Before I left this world, I ordered my cats to sit and left. When I came back to continue and let them stand, it wouldn't let me do that. The cats sat there and meowed at me, stared at me, and turned towards me. I hit them, as that would make them stand up, and they stood for just a tiny bit and sat back down, They randomly took fall damage too. (All this goes the same with dogs, and they growl at me as if they are not tame in my survival..)
I had a survival world with a black and white cat, this also happened in survival. Please help me, I hate having to kill any of my pets because of stupid glitches!
