If you have two maps (one is the copy of the other) and then place on in a item frame and go then away from it, you will recognize:
-Your white point won't be showed if you take your map in the hand
-The green point of the other map will disapear if you go too far away

Got a similar problem since 1.5
When Copying a map and placing it in a frame all works fine until i have to copy the map again because I lost the original.
I cant see my marker but I'm still able to explore new regions and see this on my map.
Same Bug in MC-33254 and MC-4764
