Framed Maps are disappearing. Saving and reopening the game doe not restore maps. Maps seem to be gone forever.
To Reproduce I did the following:
1) Create a 3x3 section of framed maps (where all maps are default zoom level and flow together)
2) Play game as normal
3) Note that some maps (and frames) disappear (See screenshot of the 6 missing maps)
4) Exit the game
5) Reopen the game
6) Maps are still missing (along with frames)
***note: The screenshot shows a 3x3 area where all squares were filled with framed maps. 6 maps have gone missing and cannot be retrieved. They are nowhere to be found.

No. That isn't even a possibility in this situation. The other side of this wall is a bedroom. The entire house is surrounded by fence. No creeper can even get close enough to go off.
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.7.4 / Launcher version 1.3.8 or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
Dumb question but was there a creeper explosion close by that wall at any point while playing? Its possible for the explosion to go through the wall without destroying the wall knocking them off in which they would have despawned had you not gone in to find them. Just a possible senario.
