on my minecraft vannilia server i live next to a dark wood forest
i rarely chop down trees and recently i notcied that dark wood trees were disapering and they were being replaced with oak wood trees.gradually the dark wood forest is slowly beinging replaced with oak wood

Are you possibly running the wrong server version? If the world was generated with a newer version then was later loaded in an older one, the tree blocks might not be interpreted correctly, and replaced with oak wood.
Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report ([minecraft|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder]/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt) here.
If it is a server people may be chopping them and replacing them with oak wood saplings.
