Press the foward button (W) and while you are walking try to punch or hit something and you will see that you cant do that.
Its very annoying because i always die in pvp servers :'(

As you are using a windows 8 laptop go to your search, type in "mouse and touchpad settings" and select it. Now, at the bottom where it says touchpad select no delay! THIS IS NOT A MINECRAFT BUG!
