When you enter the Nether and a Ghast appears, if you press F5 one time, the Ghast fireballs go to the camera, not to the character!

I'm in 1.4.6 (1/1/2013). The Ghast continues shooting the fireballs to the camera. If you need a video, i can make it (in spanish, or without voice. No problem).
Do Ghast attack the camera in 3rd person? Test done by Tails for MC-4431.
Today we are going to test the claim: "Ghast attack the camera when in 3rd person mode".
Theory behind this test: Ghasts only attack if there is a clear path between them and their target. Any block other than air prevents the Ghasts from shooting. This makes it possible for us to create an environment where we control the sight of a Ghast. If the claim is true, a Ghast will only attack if it sees a clear path between itself and the target, which is the camera according to the claim. What we are going to test: 1. Clear sight between Ghast and the camera, while the player is hidden. 2. Clear sight between Ghast and the Player, while the camera is hidden. This way we can tell for sure whether a Ghast targets the Player or just the camera.
Step 1: Create a clean repeatable test environment.
A.I chose a 6*6*6 cage created with iron bars with endstone as the bottom and a "plus" of iron bars as the ceiling.
Inside I spawned a ghast.
B.Choose a preferred side and break the 2 bottom bars in the middle. Beside it make a plattform to stand on. The plattform needs to be 1 block below the bottom of the cage for the Ghast to be able to shoot.
Step 2: The test:
0. Put yourself into survival and activate 3rd person camera by pressing F5.
1a. Put the player character to the left or right of the opening so that there is no clear path between the Ghast and the Player.
b. Move the camera to the opening so there is a clear path between the Ghast and the camera.
Result: Negative! The Ghast does not shoot the camera!
2a. Put the player character to the opening so that there is a clear path between the Ghast and the Player.
b. Hide the camera to the left or right of the opening so there is no clear path between it and the Ghast.
Result: Positive! The Ghast shoots, but not the camera! It shoots the Player Character!
Conclusion from the 2 test results: The Ghast is not targeting the camera but the Player, which means this ticket is resolved with the resolution "Cannot Reproduce"
I think the problem here is how the Ghast aims. If you stand completely still, and the Ghast is flying at a significantly higher elevation, it will never hit you, as it aims too high. If it is flying at a lower elevation, it will aim too low. It does this even in 1st person. This is a real pain if you plan on trying to hit the projectile back at the Ghast, but it is not possible.
If the Ghast is swimming in lava and shoots at you, it may hit a thin ledge and destroy it. Well, I guess it does add to the challenge, even if it does not seem correct. Maybe in easy it should shoot straight, and for harder difficulties, have more offset (but randomized) to it similar to how dispensers shoot (with the most offset obviously being in hard)
@insomniac_lemon: I agree with you about the aim and included Ghasts to MC-2947. But the claim of this ticket was that Ghasts attack the camera in 3rd person, which I cannot reproduce.
Sure ?
The Ghast alway shoots a bit too far.
Should be no difference if in 3rd person or not.
