When jumping down a slime block staircase if you land on a corner of the block it does not negate the fall damage.
to recreate
1. make a slime staircase
2. place stone or another solid block platform at the top
3. run and jump off platform down the stairs
4. try to land on corner of slime block

The bounce and no-damage effects only happen if > 50% of the player hits the slime block, thus corners and the very edge won't work. This, I believe, is works as designed.

My question is, why would you make a little less of the entire block useable? Wouldn't that almost render it useless? I would enjoy making challenges with these slime blocks. If the above is true, they are only good for decoration in my opinion. Well, let's figure out what the moderators have to figure out...

Well what if you landed on a solid non bouncable block besides the slime block and you just hit the slime block by 10%, then you will not be bouncing, and the same thing happens when there is a non solid block or even air there. I do think that it should be improved when they have non solid block on the side.
