*What I expected to happen was...:
To smoothly run a 1.8 snapshot (14w02c) server and let my friends join in on the fun!
*What actually happened was...:
I ran the 1.8 snapshot server, and nobody could connect, everything was done correctly. (I've run previous MC servers on the same computer.)
*Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download the MC 14w02c server .jar or .exe
2. Run it, with console OR 'double click'.
3. Try to join.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.
Keep in mind that the "Resolved"-Status on this ticket just means "Answered", and that we are waiting for further information on whether this issue still exists or not. We will reopen it as soon as the requested information has been delivered.
First, there's no reason to attach executables to the ticket. Particularly Minecraft ones, which they already have. Second, what error messages are produced? Does the server log show anything? How about the client? Development console?
