I found a village, and the blacksmith shop generated with a lot of wood missing. I tried to repair it, but when I came back, the wood was missing again. It seems no matter how many times I try to repair it, It will always delete the wood.

It is most likely just a corruption when the world was generating. If it was, when you try to walk through, it should act as though there is a block there, and it'll just stop you.
Fire spreads farther in the new snapshots, causing the lava to burn the blacksmith down (and sometimes whole villages). I hope they take the opportunity to redesign some of the village buildings. The blacksmith should have an anvil outside instead of that double slab. Different type of wood and stone on Savanna villages would be nice too.
This is definitely the lava at the blacksmith setting the structure on fire. Having visited the village originally and found the building generated correctly, I later returned to find it heavily damaged. I thought it might have been a lightning strike, since it is in a savannah. I repaired the building but just again found it damaged, but this time actually witnessed several blocks burning and there have been no lightning storms.
The fire spread from lava through solid blocks needs to be reviewed or the structure modified. I'm repairing mine again but with an extra layer of cobble wall between the lava and wood in an attempt to halt this from happening again.
Can you post the seed and coords?
