Yeah, I'm hoping this is reversed - I use coal blocks as decoration (many stacks for a sphere around the end portal to make it look like the end island) and have multiple chests of charcoal set aside for trading. I guess only saving grace is you don't have to make the coal trade it seems, you can just use others. Right now I'm pretty much only using clerics and librarians as zombie flesh, ender pearls and paper are easily farmable in super large quantities. Well, maybe the ender pearls aren't "easy" until/unless you get an farm setup in the end...
Mods / Mojangsters - Any way to get confirmation on if this is intended as part of the overhaul or not?
Thinking on that possibility, it would also explain stuff like MC-47643 - the two books have different tags thus can't be traded at the same time. You can only trade books named/signed/etc by the same person, or copy a book over and over.
Perhaps this is all related to the bug that was allowing people to trade badly broken tools/armor to priests to get them enchanted?
I will stay following this out of curiosity, but even if fixed it wouldn't have any impact on my new trading setup thanks to the ability of having fully automated farms for some of the drops (zombie flesh by the billion....
Yeah I tested this, in the new snapshots priests that offered to enchant tools/armor won't be able to repair it, they'll only take NEW tools/armor, so yeah, no more infinite efficiency III diamond pickaxes...
This is correct, but it could be part of Villager overhaul
