Tripwire is invisible

Tripwire doesn't appear upon the block it's actually placed. Only happens on default texture pack, as shown below

Confirmed. Placed string does not render at all. I've placed several down, interlinking each other and on top of each other, and none of the pixels are showing up. It is completely invisible.

I am still having this issue in 1.11.2 especially on servers
