I have tested a few new things with the new /particle command. Just for fun i tried /particle heart ~ ~2 ~ 1 1 1 0.5 900000 @e. The game froze but soundengine was still running. Once i stopped it it got an exit code 0! I dont know what happend but add a limit of 255 or something like that.

Yea i just relized that. But it is still weired i get an exit code 0. A "lag crash" always get -1 or 1. I need to do somemore testing...
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 14w11b or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. - bot
You used the @e with no limit, meaning ALL of the entities displayed hearts so that's 900000*n, with n being the number of mobs, even in unloaded chunks
