[MC-45919] When clicking the resource packs button the game crashes. I didn't have this problem 10 minutes ago when using the same version, however.

The resource pack menu should have opened.

The game crashed as soon as I clicked it.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the pause menu
2. Click Options
3. Click Resource Packs

Can't comment on the issue itself, but your Java is very, very out of date, please update it to the 1.7.0_51 version.

According to the crash report you were on a CraftBukkit server when this happened. Does this only happen to you on that server or other Bukkit servers? If not and it happens on vanilla servers as well, you should attach a crash report of this bug occurring when you are on a vanilla sever.

I wasn't on any servers when it happened - I was either in a singleplayer world, or on the main menu screen (I reproduced this bug twice)

That crash is a manually triggered crash.
Thus: Incomplete without a crash report from (minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt). Please attach it so that we can diagnose your issue.

You've attached a manually created crash, not the crash that you actually had while selecting the resourcepack.
