[MC-45934] /spawnpoint does not work. Says your home bed is missing or obstructed. (not a duplicate of a prior issue)

Mac OSX Version 10.9.1
Java 1.6.0

Essentially, the spawnpoint will not work at all. Only occurs incorrectly when entered through a command block. Says "your home bed was missing or obstructed" as you respawn at the central spawn point.

Is there a pressure plate or any other not full block at the exact coordinates? If so, then that is the problem and set spawnpoints up one block. (I had this problem too when I was making a redstone minigame.)

Are you using @a, and if so does it work when done by username?

I am, however the command does not work either way. I have tested both in command block and neither work. The console however does work for the basic /spawnpoint command
