Crafting stone slabs with whatever new stone

All the new stones are also stones, this is working exactly the same as with the different wooden planks.

But, why not do its own stone slabs? Example: Granite slabs

But this means that you can get stoneslabs very easy because you don't need to smelt the new stones

But you don't get XP for smelting...
