my hat layers dissapear when i log on. they seem to disappear only when i add a layer to the torso.

i have already tried to fix it multiple times, and as i said in description, it seems that when i add torso layer all others disappear including torso.
Try to reproduce with

If you can recreate this issue with the template it's a Minecraft issue, otherwise some issue with your skin file.
Be sure you uploaded it correctly, and try it again.
