@a Command does not work after dyeing

What I expected to happen was...:
to give the player stone

What actually happened was...:
It said it would have given it to me, but either drops somewhere else, or not at all

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place a command block "give @a stone" and run it
2. you will receive stone
3. do /kill
4. run command block 1 again, try it at different standing position
5. the item will spawn somewhere else in front of the command block

it does not work for
clear
give
kill
gamemode
