[MC-466] Inventory problems both survival and creative

when i try to pick items in creative. i can only do it by putting my cursor over the item and pressing a number. once its in my inventory i cant pick it up and move it around. same when in survival mode. when i cut down a tree i get the wood, but i cant move it around nor put in in a chest 😞

oh also i can pick an item up and switch it around, but only when i right click. very strange and makes crafting difficult hahah :/

Same thing happens to me. Open inventory, can't select items (click drag). I can select them with right click. Using Windows 7, 32 bit, 2.3GHz.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Remember that since several versions the "Touchscreen Mode" will have similar effects if enabled by mistake (Options -> Touchscreen Mode)

You have assigned the "Attack" button to "Shift" and "Pick Block" to LMB (well, you know that..)
Probably that messes up the inventory handling, as you have to press "Shift" to move items around.
Restore the default settings (Attack = LMB, Pick Block = Button3) and see if the inventory handling is be better.

Ok. It works as Attack= LMB and Pick Block as anything (including shift). So I'm assuming it's that I can't have any controls set to attack. I don't really like this, so if there was a way to get around that it would be much appreciated. Please don't set this as resolved because I kinda need my shift as attack.

I was switching up my Pick Block and Attack keys and found out that the only thing that causes the bug is having Pick Block set to LMB.

I'm assuming everyone's forgotten about this. It's still very annoying and I wouldn't consider it fixed. This has been happening ever since 1.4.1 I see so many bugs being fixed on mojang.com but never this one.

Actually it doesn't. I forgot that I changed my pick block key to get around the bug until it was fixed. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
