I trapped a wither in a box made of barriers, and it spazzes out and attacks in all directions, killing it because it cannot break the barriers and the explosion hits the wither. There are no living entities in my world.

YoYoYonnY yes it does but that is also at random intervals, I somehow made the wither behave in such a way that it's constantly attacking every half a second or so. The explosion just kills it slowly
maybe we first need to know the exact behavoir. does the wither kills itself in bedrock? does the wither shoot whenever it hits a block/gets sufficated. maybe thid behavoir was intended
Confirmed in 14w32a. Screenshot attached.
Edit: Wither did NOT kill itself during the attack; blue skulls were fired through the barrier wall it was hugging, and its proximity block destruction destroyed the barriers. It did not appear to be aiming at anything in particular with the blue skulls, as can be seen in the screenshot.
Does it break the Barrier blocks?
