Destroying a retracting piston will cause lava particle

If you're in the middle of retracting a sticky piston, breaking it will cause lava particle to show up rather then the usual piston breaking particle

Steps to reproduce:
1. Place a sticky piston
2. Place a redstone block next to the piston
3. Break the block as fast as possible starting from the redstone block
4. Lava breaking particle will appear instead

Pretty sure that is just the particles from the redstone block breaking overlaying with the piston block breaking particles looking orange.
