Attribute follow range don't work in multiplayer

I am creating a map that relies very much on the attribute follow range. I am trying to add follow range 300 on a zombie but when the zombie gets spawned he doesnt follow me until i get really close. I have not tested this on other mobs or in other versions. But I hope you can fix it as soon as possible!

Please provide the exact command you've used.

It doesn't work whatever i do but ok here is the last one i used:

summon Zombie 332 56 807 {Attributes:[{Name:generic.maxHealth,Base:10},{Name:generic.followRange,Base:300},{Name:generic.knockbackResistance,Base:10}]}

I used a summon command generator but the knockback resistanse worked.

Cannot confirm.
Zombies with followRange:300 walk towards a village ~250 blocks away.
Keep in mind that mobs despawn immideately if more than 128 blocks away, read on here: http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Spawn#Despawning

I just tested and YOUR RIGHT. BUT that means that the follow range don't work on players! So apperantly THAT is the bug.

Wait a minute. Are they supposed to find you if they don't see you? Like if you are behind a wall? Because i found out that they walked against me when they saw me, but not when they did not see men. But however they walked against the villager when they did not see them so I don't know.

Mobs cannot see through walls. Does that explain your issue ?

Yes that explains almost everything. Are they supposed to see villagers through walls? Because when i put a villager there, they walked against it instant.

The AI is of course cheating. Zombies can see villagers through walls. You will observe that Zombies "knock" in villages more at that houses inhabited by villagers...

Ok then there will proberly be no way of them moving against me. Ok thanks anyway. Case closed.
