[MC-47315] Villagers Run Away From Buff Potions

Just a weird behavior i noticed. using a beneficial splash potion on a villager sometimes makes it run away from the player as though it had been attacked .

Kept throwing splash potion at a group of villagers for about five minutes, they just kept looking at me.

is it possible they were reacting to a hostile mob that was out of sight and the timing was coincidence ???
