When you press f3+H it will display below each item, but with a redstone repeater it displays as "minecraft:repeater" which is not the case. The correct way would be "minecraft:unpowered_repeater" or "minecraft:powered_repeater"

This is incorrect. The item is minecraft:repeater, because you can use /give @p minecraft:repeater. BUT, the block itself is minecraft:unpowered_repeater.
