[MC-47953] Unable to place the boat in the water

I crafted a Crafting Table and placed it, then made a boat but no matter where I stood near the water - and even in the water - I wasn't able to place the boat. I didn't even get the placement animation when I attempted to place the boat.

I used the key word phrase "unable to place boat", so I have no idea why my search came up blank. Literally, not even anything related to boat popped up with that phrase. I never thought to check with a different phrase or just the word boat. I'm sorry.
