Placing a bed under Steve makes a bug

When placing a bed on the block where the player stay, you get stuck in the bed

What I expected to happen was...:
The player place a block directly under him, like all the other blocks.

What actually happened was...:
You can place it, and you're not pushed away.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start a world in survival or creative
2. Place the bed just on the block under your feet
3. bug.
