if you have a bed with fire (on a block above the bed) you go in the bed and then go straight out of it and in survival you get half a heart damage.

Isn't that expectable ?

I would have considered it to be expected/normal behavior.

Your head would occupy the same block as the flames, so your head would have to catch on fire.
