Randomly, the game will load a level, run the server internally, but doesn't close the main menu gui. This theoretically allows one two load two levels at once, but I have not tested this, as it probably would corrupt the worlds.
Please don't say you cannot reproduce this, as it is (from what I can see)
completely random, so it may take a very long time to reproduce.
Also, just before a level loads, the screen goes to the main menu, then to the game itself. I think this is what is causing the bug.

No, i can actually click buttons. If you looked at the code, the game is always being played, with the main menu simply being a GUI. I believe that this bug occurs in pocket edition as well.

Confirmed. I tried loading the same level twice (because I thought the level load failed), and I got an error in the dev console stating that the level was in use.

I know it happens because if I'm stuck on the main menu and in my dev console it says there is a server running, the level is loaded and active, just without be shown that way

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 14w11b / Launcher version 1.3.11 or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
