[MC-48422] Melons growing randomly?

I was flying around a new world that I had just created and I came across Melons growing randomly. I know pumpkins grow randomly like this, but I have never seen melons do this.

Yes, Melons randomly grow in Jungles since 1.7

Press F3 in the area
It's a "Jungle Edge", which is basically a less overgrown Jungle.
