Can't click and not loading properly

I am creating this issue for my son who plays the game...

the game had been working fine since he got it at Christmas but recently once he presses play, the game doesn't load properly. The graphics don't seem to be loading right, everything seems sort of...red and scattered, and transparent if that makes sense. We can't click on anything to build and it freezes after a few seconds. I'm not sure what to do about it, because he wants to play the game but none of his worlds work and no new ones either. We haven't made any changes to the computer so I don't think that is the issue. Anyone have any ideas why this might be happening?
