Cleared inventory and chests

When I was messing around earlier I changed it to snapshots, the newest one and when I changed it back everything was fine. When I came back on just then I made a new world then went onto the one I went on earlier to find my inventory empty, including armor. I thought okay annoying and weird. Going back to my house to make all my stuff I opened my ore chest and found everything is gone. Same in the other chests I tested. I doubt I can get my stuff back but can you fix this so others don't get this problem. Has not effected my experience.
