[MC-50486] Dirt block missing textures

A dirt block (placed before 14w10c) haven't the texture, it show the purple and black missing texture. All the block properties look normal.
Running on mac

I sincerely doubt that. Data values 0, 1 and 2 should work fine for blocks. Anything above that is not valid and will correctly display as an invalid model. Prove me wrong.

@@unknown: Yes but that is not valid, and as stated in a couple other tickets by Mojang "If the correct data value is set, then the issue will not happen, so you're basically stating that if the incorrect data value is set, the issue will happen. Not a bug."

yes but i haven't placed that block with any command. is an error caused by the changing of version, i think. it remain an error of conversion. tanks for the explanation 🙂

Its because every block in the game (Besides command blocks and hoppers) use a different item id then the item you are holding. Sometimes in the game, the textures from the unobtainable blocks get their textures deleted so this happens.
