When you drink a potion in minecraft and after that you open the inventory, you noticed that the buff effect window is changing the position of the inventory window, in other words, the inventory don't stays in the middle of the screen after you drink a potion.

Why is it supposed to do that? It's confusing and serves very little purpose. At least give us some insight as to why this is intentional, it's frustrating not knowing why.
It has to make room for the effect GUI. 😉
It's still centered if you count the GUI around the potion effect as part of the inventory. That's why it happens.
