When standing in a Nether Portal in Survival or Adventure game modes, switching over to Spectator will cause you to be teleported to the Nether instantly

Ticket resolved as incomplete, because no answer in a reasonable amount of time (1+ year), if it still happens, please update the ticket.

Affects 1.16-rc1. That you can’t use portals in spectator is probably a bug. MC-46421

I am able to reproduce without any issue in 20w29a

You cannot use F3 + F4 and chat at the same time. To reproduce this I press F3 + N in survival mode when I am in a nether portal.

One note is that the gamemode switcher can no longer be opened when standing inside a portal.
