Redstone torch render bug

What I expected to happen was:
The redstone torch rendering as usual

What actually happened was:
On the south and east side of a block, the back of the redstone torch turns black (see screenshot)

Steps to Reproduce:
1: Put a redstone torch on the east side or the south side of a block
2: look up above, the back of the torch is rendered really dark
