[MC-52091] Command Block not showing up in inventory

The other day, I gave myself a few command blocks to put in chests to use for a project. I meant to give myself more to put in the other things I have built, but what happens when I do that is they don't show up in inventory but the game says I have gotten it.

Ex. /give AnnieKirwyn8246 minecraft:command_block 1

It says it has been given, but I don't have it. I also tried restarting the server (several times) and emptying my inventory. I'm not sure if it's happening in my account only or if it's an overall glitch with my version of Minecraft (1.7.5).

Malformed command, drop the data tag.

I tried that, it still doesn't show up.

This appears to be an issue on your system/map. You may want to try it on a different map and if it works there, delete your player.dat on the map it's not working on (back it up first!). Other than that for technical support please use the Mojang Support Center.

Do you mean make a different world and try it there, and if it works there, delete the other one? I did back it up, but I'm not sure if deleting the first map (world) will mean I have to build all the things I built all over again in the new one.
