launcher/resource pack

so while i was offline the launcher (as normal) stated 'ready to play Minecraft 14w11b or 1.7.5' depending which version i wanted to play, when i came online (so i closed the launcher and opened it again to state i'm online), the launcher stated 'Ready to download and play 14w11b and the same thing with 1.7.5, i did redownload, but i want into 14w11b and it started playing the resource pack TEAVSRP, (The Element Animation Villager Sound Resource Pack) but when i went to resource packs it stated that there was no resource packs on, apart from the default resource pack, i've tried putting the resource pack on and then take it off, but that doesn't work, also my skin does not seem to appear sometimes whenever a resource pack is on in 14w11b
i now no longer have the resource pack but its still playing it
just deleted the .minecraft folder and reinstalled things but its still there
