Is it likely that this will be changed by to how it was before (still unsupported, but with the ability to atack players)? From what I've seen, the Giant has been a popular mob in custom maps as for example a boss, since there are few mobs of that size in the game. And 1.8 has the theme of custom maps, so just saying, it would be great to have the Giant back functional 🙂

Giants are an unsupported, not fully implemented mob, that were used for a proof-of-concept.
