Sheared wool different Color from sheep

When I shear my white sheep the wool changes to id 15 (black). It shows up in the inventory as id15 and places as id 15. This is bizzare because when white sheep are sheared they are supposed to drop id 0 (white) wool... This bug affects other kind of sheep (black and grey) as their wool is turned into white and light grey wool respectively
