Unable to pick up items dropped by villagers

In the recent snapshots, villagers now drop food that they pick up from the surrounding crop fields. However, bread and potatoes are not able to picked up by the player. You can pick up wheat that is left on the ground though. After about 10 minutes there a lot of "invisible" entities on the ground that cannot be picked up. As far as I know, this happens in Multiplayer.
