Conversion from old formats no longer works

If you have maps that were created way back when (the original chunk format), minecraft will no longer offer to convert them.

(I don't know if this was removed purposefully, I had to use MCNostalgia to downgrade to a beta pre-anvil version, then load the map, and upgrade with the older version)

Can you please attach here an old world (prior conversion)

An effected map (Generated using Beta 1.2_02)

To my knowledge, I should be able to just throw this in .minecraft/saves, and it should show up in the world list stating "Must be converted".

Your attached world is not shown in my world list.
This world must be very old, it's a pre-Beta 1.3 format, not even pre-Anvil, it's pre-Region.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Is MC-22449 really a duplicate of this?
This is about having no option to convert alpha/chunk-format worlds.
MC-22449 is about crashing when converting beta/region-format worlds.

You're right, MC-22449 is dupe of MC-5672.

MC-5672 was about worlds created from third-party software, and marked invalid because of that.
MC-22449 was about worlds created in Minecraft.

Step 1: Using the new launcher, load version "release 1.1"
Step 2: Convert the world with that version.
Step 3: Load latest version.
Step 4: Convert the world with the latest version.
