Please don't put down the affected version as a future version! You DON'T have access to it yet!

This does not seem to be a duplicate of MC-45458.

There is not much change between the frame rates when moving and standing still.

The main recent decrease seems to come from the 14w11b snapshot.

...so? As long as the framrate is more than 30, there is nothing to complain about. 30 is considered stable smooth gameplay. This is not a bug, just a small downside to the optimizations in the game.

I used to be able to easily record however recording in the latest snapshots only gives me 25 or less FPS.

Check MC-45458 - It explains why the FPS drop happened.

Other than that, I recommend removing any model-heavy ressourcepacks as they can cause a heavy load and lowering the graphical settings.

Unfortunately, I fear for the many younger Minecraft players who only have low spec computers.

What graphics card if I may ask?

650M 1GB VRAM

Looks like we have pretty similar systems, but everything is fine with mine. Make sure that Minecraft starts with the dedicated graphics card.
But that actually goes too far to discuss here, if you want, come the the #minecrafthelp IRC channel (Esper) and ping me if I'm there.

I started with the dedicated forced on and, it seems to work better. 70 in the latest. It should be OK to record with.

I can't work out if it a Minecraft thing or if it for everything but I may update the post if I find out.

Thanks
