I haven't played MC for a while, and I came back and tried the latest snapshot. I now find that 90% of the time, nothing happens when I left click. I've tried restarting the game, and using different mice, but the bug is still there. I have no problems on programs other than MC.

Do you have touchscreen mode on? Turn it off and see if it fixes the problem.
