Cats and tamed wolves won't stop sitting.

Cats and tamed wolves won't stop sitting when I log into Minecraft while online.
My cat should have stood up when I right clicked on it.
I thought my cat should have stood up when I right clicked on it.

When I right clicked on my cat it wouldn't stand up.
I tried pushing it, feeding it raw fish, walking far away, and hitting it but nothing would make it stand up.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Log into Minecraft while you are connected to the internet.
2. Get a cat (tamed ocelot)
3. Right click on it and see that it doesn't stand up

Note: The cat will stand up when I logged in while offline.

This was linked to an issue where cats and dogs stop following their owners when in multiplayer, but I've never played anything but single player and it happens to me, too. In fact, I had two tamed cats following me in a tunnel, one of them came out the other end, I went back and found the other sitting in the tunnel, unable to stand up. It can, however, be bred while sitting. I have logged out and back in several times.

I've done some more research and found that when you login while online you use your normal Minecraft username. When you login while offline it uses your email as your username. Your cat and/or dog follows the player with the username of the person who tamed it. So the fix would be changing how the cat/dog identifies you.

I tamed two cats in the same session. One of them stopped while I was walking, one did not. Maybe one got further behind and my internet dropped out briefly? I went in offline and it worked, so that seems to be it.

Yes, the people at Mojang just need to change the way your dog/cat identifies you. To play while offline if you are on a laptop, just turn off your wifi receiver (usually a button the keyboard). If on a desktop unplug your ethernet cable from the back of the pc tower. Open Minecraft and hit login, then play offline. Your internet dropping out won't make a difference after you login unless you are playing multiplayer.
