Minecraft launcher 1.4.4 does not launch

My 1.4.4 launcher does not launch when pressing "play". The Minecraft 1.7.9 box opens for 2 seconds displaying "Mojang" and it closes. I have reinstalled Java, also Minecraft.exe as well as .jar. But still no luck. The development console say's the crash happened outside the Java machine. Game ended with bad state exit code 1.

For some reason i have the same problem on mac. the script looks the same and i cant fix it... help?
