When a two block tall vegetation block, such as a rose bush or tall grass, is mined from its base and sometimes the top, there will be a brief moment of particle effects from the sunflower. I found this bug running minecraft on a macbook. I'm pretty sure I have the most recent java installed. I don't tend to lag too much.
