When I throw an egg underwater and a baby chicken spawns, it doesn't float back up to the surface and it drowns. Mainly an aesthetic bug, but a bug nonetheless.

That states that they surface but still drown. This bug states that the baby chicken won't even surface. "Create a one block water surrounded with two block high walls so they have to swim."

I'm pretty sure these are duplicates, it seems to be the same root problem
When they are punched, they move up one block, but continue to not float until punched to the surface.
