[MC-56709] Cannot launch minecraft 1.7.9

When trying to play minecraft, I log my son in and he clicks on play.
The usual Mojhang splash window pops up and it pauses for a few seconds then shuts the window.
There are no error messages, no other pop-ups.
If you can tell me where to find logs I will happily attach them.

Please attach the complete output of the dev console, which can be found in the second tab of the launcher.

Okay, so the problematic frame is ig4icd64.dll, which is part of the nvidia driverset.
This will be a bit of work, but try updating those drivers too. If that doesn't help, remove java entirely and install it again (Not the upgrade path).

Yes, this issue is described in MC-14051 (ig4icd64.dll is part of Intel Graphics driver)
