I was breaking a dark oak log block then there was a broken texture it was purple and black and when you place the block your game crashes!

I too have witnessed this bug, but with dark oak trees. Blocks dropped are textured the aforementioned pink and black squares, labeled "Oak Wood" (id #0162/5)

I've seen this as well. The block texture dropped by Acacia trees is made of black and pink squares and labelled "Oak Wood".
