bad redstone block texture

that's a missing texture. manually delete the jar and re-download it

But If I place the block down myself the texture is there.

Your command is wrong, it's

/setblock ~ ~ ~ redstone_block 0 destroy

Ok I'll try that command and see if the texture is working.
