I'm in the deep ocean biome, and on our server other people are hearing the sound, but I am not.

That's the laser sound of the Elder Guardian.
The only difference between 1.7.9 and 14w25a sounds.json
is the addition of the guardian sounds:

New "Wave" sound in ocean biomes
under additions in http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/14w25a
Removed in english Wiki too: http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/index.php?title=14w25a&curid=57055&diff=660129&oldid=660108
The ocean sound in 15w51b is broken though, it plays it over and over again and is way to loud, also it's apparently a friendly creature sound.
I just realized it wasn't added in 15w49b? so when was it added, I also just noticed it plays when I'm in a Deep ocean Biome (most of my world) on on a beach near it (it also sounds sort of like a wave), it's weird that it was "removed" but it's still in the game, maybe just a recycled sound. My environment is: Minecraft: 15w51b System: Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit Java: Newest version ([22.something] I think) My graphics card barely runs Minecraft though, I need to run it in windowed, then I always have 60+ fps, unless I'm in an area with more than 10 trees in it (My computer doesn't like trees, like at all)
Cannot confirm.
